Cookie Policy
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owners. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels and browser local storage.
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on the Flowgear website, why they are used, and how you can control them.
How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including browser local storage, to:
- Operate the website: strictly necessary technologies that enable core functionality and security.
- Remember your preferences: for example, your light or dark display preference is stored in your browser so the site renders the way you left it.
- Provide third-party features: some features are provided by third parties (see below), which may set their own cookies or storage.
The Flowgear website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary and preference storage
The Flowgear website itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage to remember your display preference (light or dark theme). This information stays in your browser and is not transmitted to Flowgear.
Third-party voice assistant
Flowgear embeds the ElevenLabs ConvAI voice and chat assistant on the website. When it loads, this third-party widget may set its own cookies or storage and processes data in accordance with ElevenLabs’ own privacy and cookie policies.
Your consent
Strictly necessary technologies and your stored display preference do not require consent. Where third-party features set non-essential cookies or storage, these are governed by the relevant third party’s policies. Depending on your location, applicable law may give you the right to control non-essential cookies. You can do so at any time through your browser settings, as described below.
How to manage cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies and site data through their settings. Below are links to cookie-management instructions for the most common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Manage cookies in Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox: Clear cookies in Firefox
- Apple Safari: Manage cookies in Safari
- Microsoft Edge: Manage cookies in Edge
Please note that clearing or disabling browser storage may reset your display preference and affect certain functionality of the website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies and technologies we use or for legal and regulatory reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
